Fall

Do you have a favorite season? I really don’t think that I do – BUT I really do love fall and all the new things it brings:

1. Fall color – this is one of my favorite trees and it does a glorious job of putting on a fall show every year whether it be red, orange or yellow!

2. Sports! Who cannot love the end of baseball season and the beginning of Cowboy season!?

3. My 2nd annual trip overseas to see my best friend. We always have the best time together – this year we are doing Italy!

4. Work finally slowing down after a busy summer

5. All the new seasons of TV shows like So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With the Stars and new movies. I am especially excited about New Moon!

6. October 6th is the Engineer’s birthday and it starts a three-month steady stream of birthdays, anniversaries and holidays!

7. I love carving pumpkins! Need I say more?

8. My annual murder mystery party. Every year I host a murder mystery party where I have 7 of my friends come in costume and character and we solve a murder. This is one of my favorite nights of the year and I highly recommend it.

I never was a big fan of Fall when I lived in TX (mostly because school started ha), but living in NJ I love it!! I love the color of the leaves and all the pumpkin patchs! I also love that all the tourists in NYC go home and the locals can reclaim Central Park and enjoy a stroll :)! I also love turning off the AC and leaving the windows open :)!!

Ooooh, nice list!
My fave thing about the fall is the fall fashion! And seeing as you always need new clothes for work/school, you have a pretty good excuse to update your wardrobe!
I also love the dark nights, when you can just cuddle up under a blanket and listen to the rain and wind outside!
And, the cooler weather gives you a reason to drink hot chocolate!
The fall air also have this crispyness about is, it's feels so fresh!

But, however, I do not like it when it rain all the time, coz that happens a lot here in Norway... :/

I love fall for one obvious reason: Scarves! It becomes kosher to start wearing them. Truth be told, I wear them year-round because I love them, but fall brings new designs! I also love fall for the ever wonderful September Issue from Vogue. I look forward to it religiously! Then there's Halloween. Of course, the best part is that fall has the tendency to bring people together, be it through the holidays or the great amount of moon energy (yeah, i don't know... ignore the last statement...lol!).
But the ultimate greatness about fall means that winter is just around the corner. I L-O-V-E Winter!!!

Can you really say fall is starting in West Texas when it is only September? Now that we live where there are native trees, I definitely enjoy watching the colors change, but then they all land in my yard and bury our children. Well, the burying and playing part is fun, the raking afterwards not so much. At least these are the one out of the plethora of things that trees drop on your yard through the year that I was prepared to deal with.

Oh yeah - fun memory....a murder mystery party....was actually a rehearsal party for my brother-in-law's wedding - different from typical rehearsal dinner and tons of fun - we actually had to drive all over North Dallas to gather our clues from various people....like hotel desk clerks, hosts at restaurants, etc. - didn't dress as characters....didn't even know till after the rehearsal that we were going to solve a mystery - just remember it was a fun night.
