Update on the Dogdog!

Ok well I guess my vow to blog more in 2012 has not worked out so well. I really have no excuse other then busy-ness! Truthfully I have been very busy with dogdog so I thought it would be a great time to give you an update on him.

He played in the snow


Learned to read


Drank out of his fountain


Got wasted on pixy stix


And felt ashamed about it


Played with his blanket


Was curious


Got loved on


Chewed on a deer antler


Was too tired to finish pizza


….


Got a belly scratch


Went on an adventure


Got a new watering hole


Had a puppuccino


And had ear surgery






After a month of infections, antibiotics and ear drops Brass ended up with a hematoma in his ear. We had to have it surgically fixed and after 10 days we are ready to get the stitches out! He has an incision on the underside to drain the blood and a piece of x-ray film stitched to the outside for support. He has done extremely well with everything and has put up with everything I have had to do to him. I am so ready for him to be all better!

My son is *sniff* eight

Brass



- Eight years old today!
- Weighs 85 pounds, but tends to put on a bit more over winter
- Still sleeps with the blanket he got on the first night I brought him home
- Loves bones, pecans and puppiccinos from Starbucks
- Loves to be scratched anytime and his favorite place is his chest
- Runs as fast as he can every morning when we get to work but is more tired lately when we get home at night
- Answers to dogdog, black diamond, pooter, blackie, brassy, brassy boy, brass dog
- Is growing more and more white hairs
- Had stitches this year
- Loves to drink from the fountain at work



Dear Brass, when you read this on your 18th birthday, I just want you to know what a blessing you have been to me. You have given me 10 precious solid black grand pups and many days of running and playing. Your companionship is nothing if not perfect and I hope that in the years to come we will continue to enjoy our time together. You are my son and bring so much joy daily to me and your grandparents. I love you! Mommy

Dog Dog Turns 7 !

Hey all! Well I seem to be perfecting the 'update your blog once a month thing' and to all my loyal followers, sorry! I will try to be better. Anyway, my favorite dog in the whole world turned seven years old today and I wanted to do a little tribute to him.
